To anyone interested in the roots of modern science fiction, the name of Ray Cummings should be well known. He wrote science fiction and fantasy before the name "science fiction" had been coined, publishing fantastic yarns in Argosy, Munsey's Magazine, and other mainstream pulp magazines. Of course, as soon as the science fiction pulps debuted, he moved to them, where his work received a hearty welcome from fans. Cummings publishing more than 750 novels and short stories over his long career, producing work in many genres, including the mystery field (see "Atom Boy" in this Megapack for one prime example). The Ray Cummings MEGAPACK ® 25 Golden Age Science Fiction and Mystery Tales edition by Ray Cummings Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

I grew up reading a lot of the collected short stories and novellas from the Golden Era of Science Fiction. Ray Cummings was among the leaders in the early era and also played a role in the early comic book era as well. This collection covers some of his best including Girl In The Golden Atom and one good thing I have to say is this megapack has the stories indexed so you don't have to go looking for a specific tale unlike some bundled books that do not do this. This is scifi pulp and not hard scifi but they are entertaining tales that hopefully the current generation of readers will get to discover.

The Ray Cummings MEGAPACK ® 25 Golden Age Science Fiction and Mystery Tales edition by Ray Cummings Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

Great compilation. Well written stories.
Very easy read, I enjoy this old style of science fiction.
Good mix of SciFi short stories. Enjoyed it.
I love sci-fi short stories! This mega-pack delivered great stories and great variety.
a good read.
This is just a good selection of science fiction and fantasy with a couple of mystery thrown in. I know that this is what everyone was reading early on
Ray Cummings was a master story teller and sci/fi adventure author, so much so, that when I first read the novels in this collection, in paperback, in the 60's, I had no idea just how far back they went. Still enjoying them today. This edition includes Brigands of the Moon (personal favorite), WANDL THE INVADER, THE WHITE INVADERS, THE GIRL IN THE GOLDEN ATOM, and so many more. And, all four of the Dr. Feather mysteries, with his mysterious daughter Kit. This is a great deal for anyone interested in golden age sci/fi. A no brainer.
